 JIMEOIN CRACKS AUSSIE UNDERWEAR MARKET WITH RIO

Jimeoin has teamed up with iconic underwear label, Rio as the ‘face and body’ of their new Winter 2006 campaign.
Chosen because of his popularity across all ages and genders, the much loved Aussie-Irish comic will appear in Rio’s TV commercials airing nationally from this week.
Holeproof General Manager, Helen Anderson, believes the new campaign reflects the fun, comedy and humour that have long been a hallmark of the Rio brand.
“Jimeoin is a well known comedian who engages well with our broad consumer base, as well as creating market impact. He embodies many of our brand characteristics – he’s funny, cheeky, energetic, likable and ‘up for it!’” says Ms Anderson.
Jimeoin is equally excited about appearing in the Rio campaign and his newfound role as ‘lingerie model’. When asked if he is nervous about joining the ranks of other celebrity underwear ambassadors, such as Kylie Minogue and Sarah Murdoch, his response was “No, but I’m sure they’re nervous about me joining their ranks”.
The Rio campaign, starring Jimeoin will be highly visible, rolling out with a national advertising campaign including TV and Point of Sale (POS).
